The chemicals which are used in the paper mill such as sodium hydroxide, sodium sulfate, sodium carbonate, etc., are dissolved by means of heating them with steam. In addition, processing and forming paper, black pulp also need steam. It is also necessary to apply steam in the processing and moulding of paper and the thickening of the black pulp.
